Details About Google TV Begin To Surface

Google Android TVA few more details about Google TV have wandered onto the internet. Last week, we found out that Google’s next project may be Google TV.  At the time, many details concerning Google TV were unknown.

All that was revealed about Google TV was that it was a project being worked on between Google, Sony, Intel, and Logitech, that it would be a set-top box featuring the Android operating system with a Chrome browser, and the goal is to streamline web content to your television.

The latest details on Google TV is that the set-top box is not meant to replace your current TV box, but to supplement it.  In other words, your regular cable box would be connected to Google TV with an HDMI …

Google’s Next Project: Google TV

Google TVFirst there was the search engine, then e-mail, maps, AdWords, YouTube, an internet browser, Google Apps, and the Google phone.  (See Google’s timeline).  We’re always left wondering what Google is up to next?  That may be Google TV.

Google is working with the likes of Sony, Intel, and Logitech to develop a Google set-top box.  The system will run on an Android-based operating system with the goal of attempting to streamline web-content onto TVs.  For example, receiving streaming HD YouTube videos right on your 60″ plasma.

The technology will be built into Bluray players and TVs from Sony.  Intel will provide the Atom processor, while Logitech builds the keyboard on a TV remote.  The set-top box will have Google Chrome for …
